Sushi Tei (Serangoon Gardens)

Coming to this Sushi Tei seems like an escape from the hustle and bustle of work due to its dark and calm escape due to the ambience at this place. Came here for lunch with my colleagues after a pretty long morning at work and was pleasantly surprised to be ushered upstairs where we had a small semi-private room to ourselves. First thing i noticed was the calm ambience helped along by the low lighting and dark interior zen like decor. We had to take out our shoes to enter the room where we sat on the tatami mats to have our meal.

Food was the usual sushi tei fare and we had good time over sushi salads, sukiyaki set and various sashimi, sushis. The semi private room helped with the conversation as well as the fact that we were squashed together to fit so many people around the table. It was a pretty hot day outside too so it was a big big bonus that the interior of the restaurant was cooling and dark.

All in all, this sushi tei provides a good atmosphere for a relaxing meal. Food quality is ok (better than the other sushi chains i feel) for the price you pay.
