Sakura International Buffet Restaurant (Clementi Woods)

Sakura....saw this restaurant many times amidst the woods whenever i drove past west coast.....

but

SHOCKED!!!

we were there for dinner buffet on a friday nite and of course it costed us a bit more.....

the food was laid out in 2 levels hence it was kinda troublesome for cusstomers to move up and down....and where is the extra care for the elders and needies???

i should say that there was a wide spread (but nothing compared to kushinbo) but the presentation is sucked!!

look at the sashimi....all dished out in a plate and the freshness was defintely in doubt. piling up in a mess....

sharkfin soup with mainly starch......futomaki wwhich would definitely not make your mouth watered.........

I WOULD COME TO THIS PLACE AGAIN......far from disappointment.

my friend was frank enough to provide an answer when the staff asked us on the way out....SEE U AGAIN......

of course the answer he gave is NO...the food is  bad.....

Shout out the name sakura and my whole office would immediately think 'Buffet!'. I have been here a few times with my colleagues for some special occasions as this Sakura branch is one of the few Halal buffet places. This clementi branch seems especially popular with the working crowd. My office is near Newton and yet somehow people in my office still love eating here.

My take? The food is below average and not that fresh. The sushi has a sickeningly fishy smell and the cooked food is nothing to be impressed about. On the other hand, it is a really convenient place to eat at for office functions. (Its own parking lot and a huge area to sit in). On the whole, I would rather pay more and treat my stomach to a better buffet!
